Social design is very important to me. I am interested in people and in every environment I try to find the most inclusive way of engaging.
This design project focused mainly on social design. The domain within this project was intergenerational cohesion and generational differences in a neighbourhood in Rotterdam. In the end we designed a concept of a Convo-Hub, where an element of a dividing middle part that can be moved up or down was tested with 'intended' users: Older and younger generations.
A probing research method was used to test how different factors influence the accessibility and attractiveness of public spaces for older people on an individual basis.
